Senior BIM Engineer at SBE in Valencia
“The best part of my job is seeing the projects I’ve worked on come to life.”
As a Senior BIM Engineer in the Valencia Team, I’ve been with SBE for three years. I joined SBE seeking a career change and a better work-life balance. A former colleague informed me about the new office in Valencia and the opportunity for BIM engineers, which caught my interest.
What drew me to SBE was its standout expertise in engineering, innovative solutions, and commitment to a sustainable future. The company culture, which promotes a healthy work-life balance and values employee well-being, was another major factor. The chance to work with a talented and passionate team also played a crucial role in my decision.
Starting a new job always involves getting used to new procedures and colleagues’ ways of working, but SBE makes the onboarding process smooth. The team is incredibly supportive, especially during the early projects.
At SBE, we value both our projects and our work atmosphere. We regularly engage in team-building and sports activities that help us unwind and connect with colleagues. I genuinely look forward to coming to work each day, enjoying the positive atmosphere and collaboration with my teammates. The company also offers ample opportunities for learning and professional growth, keeping us motivated.
One memorable moment recently was when a colleague created a catchy song using AI—just one example of the fun and creative environment we have here. If I had to sum up SBE in one word, it would be ‘family.’ The supportive environment makes everyone feel appreciated and connected.
While large projects with multiple stakeholders can be challenging, they are also a great chance to expand your knowledge across different fields. Currently, I’m working on infrastructure projects, including roads, cycle paths, and sewerage systems.
My typical day starts early to make the most of the quiet morning hours. In the office, I take small breaks to catch up with colleagues or enjoy the sun on our rooftop terrace. Lunchtime is a great opportunity for this as well, and we usually have lunch together.
The best part of my job is seeing the projects I’ve worked on come to life. Without a doubt, I would recommend SBE to a friend. If you’re joining SBE soon, don’t hesitate to ask for help—after all, we are a team!
