To support our growth, we are currently looking for a highly qualified BIM Modeler with expertise in Civil3D. Together with the BIM and engineering teams in our HQ in Belgium, you will work on large infrastructure projects. As a result, you contribute to the roads and facilities of tomorrow. As our ‘Civil BIM Designer’, you develop and manage the (sub-)models and drawings for the BIM-model for Belgian customers, for concepts such as roads, cycling paths, intersections, roundabouts, and the flyovers, tunnels, bridges that go with it, as well as water management systems like sewerages.
Your main responsibilities include:
You develop projects in preliminary, concept and final stages of the design;
You evaluate and construct base models from all existing 2D- and 3D-data;
You develop a 3D model (or a part of it);
You create 2D layouts and plans in accordance with the demands of the client;
You extract qualitative models for 3D visualisations, tables and/or other documents from the 3D model (eg: earthwork volumes, quantity take off, measurement lists, …);
You work as a member of an experienced team of engineers, involved in highly challenging and technical projects, facing the new requirements of the industry.
Education: You have a certificate as a Technical BIM/CAD designer or Modeler or you are equivalent through experience.
Professional experience: you have at least 3-8 years of relevant experience within infrastructure projects (or more);
Required software knowledge: you have excellent skills in: Civil3D & AutoCad;
Required competencies:
You’re experienced in BIM methodology, preparing drawings in 2D-3D for Civil Construction Design;
You are able to work in an international environment, familiar with working with virtual teams and are able to travel to Belgium (about 1-2 times a year for a few days);
You have strong oral and written communication skills in English (minimum level C+). Abilities in Dutch and French are considered a plus, but not mandatory;
You value collaboration, communication and sharing knowledge. You are able to analyze, prioritize and give constructive feedback well.
